和平小學創建於1917年，是一所村級完小。學校6個年級共134位學生，但和平村有學齡兒童260位左右。
目前學校教室只有4間，緊缺不夠用，一年級和二年級、三年級和四年級各只能共一間教室上課。村裏其他學生到坡俄鄉完小上學，路途遠，寄宿；現有教師5名，均是中師學歷以上，住校。
新校舍概況：
新校舍總建築面積為462平方米，有教室六間、每間48平方米，學校竣工時間為2009年5月。
Peace Elementary was built in 1917. It is a village-level full elementary school,
meaning that it serves students in grades 1 through 6. In total there are 134
students, but Peace Village has 260 infants that are of appropriate age for
schooling.
Currently there are only 4 classrooms, not nearly enough. Grades 1 and 2, and
grades 3 and 4 must attend class in the same room. Other children in the village
must go to the far away Po E Township Elementary where they have to lodge for the
night. There are currently 5 teachers at Peace Elementary, all qualified to teach
elementary school. All teachers live in school.
New Schoolhouse Conditions:
The school has been reorganized and expanded to a total area of 462 square
meters which includes 6 classrooms, each with 48 square meters. The school was
completed in May., 2009. |
