Tai Ji An Elementary School was built in 1974. With a total space of 2626 square
meters, the school house is made of earthen walls, bricks, and wooden beams. It
is already badly in disrepair.
The school currently has over 30 students. Because the school is so old, the actual
number of rooms that can be used is very small. It is only set up for first and second grade students. Students in grade 3 and above have to travel 5 kilometers to Huan
Ling Village Elementary. There are 3 teachers, all licensed with elementary and
middle school teachings credentials. The school has no books or teachings
materials.
New Schoolhouse Conditions:
The school has been reorganized and expanded to a total area of 245 square
meters which includes 6 classrooms, each with 38 square meters. Attached
facilities include lavatory and playground. The school was completed in Oct., 2008.
