窯房村小學修建於1984年，磚木結構，現屬D級危房，占地面積1400平方米。因濕氣大地面潮濕，牆體部分下沉，多處裂縫，操場高低不平，無窗戶，房頂破漏，存在嚴重的安全隱患。窯房村小學現有學生80多人，設置一至四年級和一個學前班，五、六年紀學生撤並至8公里外的鎮小上學。教師5名，中師以上學歷。學校現無圖書、體育設施等教輔用品。
新校舍概況：
新校舍總建築面積為245平方米，有教室六間、每間38平方米，附屬設施有廁所和圍牆。學校竣工時間為2008年10月。
Yao Fang Village Elementary was repaired in 1984. With a total area of 1400 square meters, the brick and wood structure is already decrepit. Due to moisture and humidity, the structure is sinking and cracking, the playground is full of holes, there are no windows, the roof leaks, and there are many hidden dangers. Yao Fang Elementary has over 80 students and provides classes to grades 1-4 and a preschool class. Students in grades 5 and 6 must travel 8 kilometers to a
neighboring elementary school. There are 5 teachers, all with proper certification to
teach elementary school. There are currently no books or school supplies.
New Schoolhouse Conditions:
The school has been reorganized and expanded to a total area of 245 square
meters which includes 6 classrooms, each with 38 square meters. Attached
facilities include lavatory and playground. The school was completed in Oct., 2008.
