八耳岩村東關小學於2000年由村民自發創辦，沒有專用教室，借用民房，面積狹窄，光線暗淡，通風條件差。目前有學生130人，6個年級。教師6名，其中1名中專文化、
1名高中文化，其他初中文化。
新校舍概況：
新校舍總建築面積為304平方米，有教室六間，其中4間每間27平方米，2間每間36.5平方米；辦公室一間，17.4平方米，圖書室一間，17.4平方米。附屬設施有廁所操場、水窖。學校竣工時間為2008年11月。
Dongguan Primary School was voluntarily built by villagers in 2000. However,
there is no classroom, but just a borrowed residence as substitute, with narrow and small area, dark light, and bad air circulation. There are 6 grades with 130 students. 6 teachers, only one has technical secondary school degree, one has senior high school degree, and the others have junior high school degree only.
New Schoolhouse Conditions:
The school has been reorganized and expanded to a total area of 304 square
meters which includes 6 classrooms (4 classroms each with 27 square meters,
and 2 classrooms each with 36.5 square meters) 1 teacher'sdormrooms with 17.4
square meters; and a reading room with 17.4 square meters. Attached facilities
include lavatory, playground and a cistern. The school was completed in Nov., 2008.
